Pembrokeshire football fixtures for Saturday, March 23rd:
Division 1 (2.30pm):
Clarbeston Road 3-2 Saundersfoot Sports
These two only met last month in a 3-3 draw. Expect goals again Saturday.
Jason Griffiths got a hat trick that day and now has an incredible 12 goals in his last four games. I suspect he'll hold the key again.
After four games without a win Saundersfoot's season appeared to be petering out before they played Monkton, but despite losing, they pushed the leaders all the way before losing 3-2.
That results suggests they are more than capable of getting something at Knock Fields - but home advantage, and the form of Griffiths, sways me towards Clarbie.
Goodwick United 4-1 St Clears
A win here would put Goodwick seven points off Monkton with four games to go. Anything less and their dwindling title hopes are over.
They'll be favourites to get three points against a St Clears side who have now not played since March 2nd. They carry threat and Will Evans, Steve Thomas, and former Goodwick man Sean Seymour Davies were all among the goals before their enforced break.
But the Phoenix Boys won't be giving up and they'll go for it here. Jordan Griffiths struck twice when they won at St Clears earlier in the season so the visitors will be all too aware of the need to stop him tomorrow.
Goodwick to win. Which they have to.
Milford United 2-1 Herbrandston
Not so long ago this was gearing up to be a do or die relegation decider. But things have changed - and Milford go into this with a nine point lead on their rivals.
The Robins have lost their last two but competed well against both Narberth and Merlins Bridge, and Liam Parr and Lewys Tee have been getting the goals they were badly missing in the first half of the season.
Herbie were beaten 4-0 by Narberth two weeks ago and simply can't find a winning formula. They've been plagued by keeper problems despite Leighton Harding filling in admirably, and have been so reliant on Scott Reid for their goals.
It will be close but on current form, I'll tip Milford to hammer the final nail in.
Narberth 3-2 Pennar Robins
Pennar's last league game was a 2-1 win at Neyland, ending a run of five straight league losses.
But since then I have lost a Senior Cup semi final to Carew and although Nick Willis and Connor Roberts both impressed that night - they now have to motivate themselves to finish well. Not always easy.
Narberth too technically have nothing to play for but have won their last two games against Milford Untied and Herbie, with Chris Brown scoring in both.
The Bluebirds can still finish in the top six, which would be a decent return, and I think they'll edge this.
