Division 1: Hakin United 4-1 Neyland

Adam John struck twice to help Hakin United to victory over gritty Neyland at The Obs.

The visitors thought they had taken the lead in 35th minute when Patrick Bellerby struck the back of Martin Langdon’s net, but it was chalked off for offside.

However, the Vikings took the lead two minutes before half time, Justin Harding’s cross was met at the far post by Camron Thomas, who used his chest to control and then fired a low shot past Jake Payne into the far corner.

After the interval The Vikings got on top and were rewarded when Leon Luby set-up Harding who fired in from 15 yards for the second.

On the hour mark and John scored with a well taken far post finish and in the 75th minute John got on the end of Scott Reid’s through ball to finish past Payne.

In the 82nd minute The Nomads pulled a goal back, Joe Campodonic’s through ball saw striker Jason Griffiths break and round Langdon to score - but it was a case of too little, too late as Scott Davies’ Vikings returned to winning ways.
