Boy George bags brace

Carew 1.

Haverfordwest County 4.

Former Welsh schoolboy international Craig George scored twice for Haverfordwest County in their expected victory over bottom of the table Carew.

Bluebirds manager Derek Roberts was pleased that his outfit picked up their fourth win of the campaign, which lifts them into sixth spot in the table.

The visitors opened their account when teenage striker Luke Robinson drilled home from inside the 18 yard box.

However, Carew manager Mackie Harts was delighted with his side’s character as they bounced back to level matters through a well-taken goal scored by Hadyn Shapcott, making it one-all at the interval.

Dai Davies found too much time and space at the edge of the box to fire home his side’s second.

George added a third with a sweetly struck 12-yard volley and ten minutes from full-time he completed the scoring, breaking clear and lashing the ball past stranded Carew keeper Matthew Phillips.
