Five Pembrokeshire teenagers have achieved Sports Leadership awards.

The youngsters, who are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, were presented with their level one award by Councillor Huw George, cabinet member for children and young people.

Jess Durham and Beth Mason from Sir Thomas Picton School; Jack Mitchell and Daniel Muller from Tasker Milward School and George Scott from Greenhill School, achieved the award by completing both theory and practical tests.

The Sports Leadership award is a nationally recognised qualification that uses sport to help develop skills such as planning and organisation, teamwork and communication.

The course was run by Pembrokeshire Youth- the county council’s youth service.
