Pembrokeshire College 3 Llandrillo College 3
(Pembrokeshire won 4 - 3 on penalties)

The Pembrokeshire College students fired themselves into the Welsh Schools semi-final in a nail-biting quarter-final against Llandrillo College from Llandudno at the Bridge Meadow.

Llandrillo made a dream start by scoring 12 seconds from the kick-off, catching their hosts cold. Within three minutes Pembrokeshire were level when a through ball from skipper Nathan Evans found Gareth Warlow and the young striker finished with a crisp strike.

The visitors were put back in the driving seat just before half time, with two goals in four minutes; one via a deflection and one from a corner.

The second half saw Pembrokeshire virtually camped in the Llandrillo half and although they created chances just couldn’t find the final touch.

Steven Mills brought Pembrokeshire back into the game with a well-taken free kick from 20 yards out, then in the final minute, Ashley Andrews took the game to penalties with another free kick strike from 25 yards.

Llandrillo hit the woodwork with their first two penalties as Nathan Evans and Liam Griffin both converted theirs. Andrews then stepped up and put his kick wide, but further goals from Andrew Forrest and Alex Ouzman sent Pembrokeshire into the semis where they meet the winners of Brecon College or Prestatyn at the Bridge Meadow.

Squad: Peter Scammell, Danny Peters, Curtis Hurlow, Dave Williams, Steven Mills, Alex Ouzman, Nathan Evans, Johnny Lammin, Ashley Andrews, Atueyi Vincent, Gareth Warlow, Liam Griffin, Kristian Palmer, Andrew Forrest, Ollie Burton, Sean Pugh.
