Monkton Swifts 2
Hakin United 7

Scott Davies and Alex Lewis struck two goals each in Hakin United’s seven-goal demolition of rock-bottom Monkton Swifts.

The Vikings kept their slim hopes of retaining the title intact as they whipped the Swifts.

Vikings’ boss Gary Dawes was pleased with his side’s performance after a few indifferent results of late.

The visitors won for the tenth time this season and are currently four points behind Goodwick, having played the same amount of games as the front runners.

Poor old Monkton are staring relegation in the face. Swifts’ boss Liam Stapleton has had a tough season in charge. Unless their luck changes quickly, they are odds-on favourites for the dreaded drop.

The visitors led five-nil at the interval, thanks to Chris Milich, Scott Davies, James Stanmore, Alex Lewis and Paul Jones penalty all finding the back of the net.

Davies and Lewis added goals in the second half before Dan Scourfield scored two late consolation goals for the well-beaten Swifts Monkton Swifts: Lance Creese, Mark Mills, Jadie Hearne, Stuart Midgely, Sean Jones, Alex Jones, Tom Baldry, Jason Kilby, Tom Baldry, Jason Kilby, Lee Gilpin, Daniel Scourfield.
