‘Turbo’ charged

Pembroke Dock Harlequins 3
Tenby United 40

Tenby United eased to their ninth win on the trot as they beat Pembroke Dock Harlequins.

Former Quins player Tom ‘Turbo’ Lewis called the shots from outside half and contributed with 25 points for the Seasiders.

Lewis scored a second half try to go with all four conversions and four penalties as the Seasiders held sway for much of the match.

But it was the Quins who started well when Dean Lawrence landed an early penalty. Lawrence also missed a second chance of three points just before the interval but by then the Seasiders had amassed 26 points.

Pacy Fijian winger Nemeni Ratu powered over for the first try and soon added a second but was denied a hat-trick by a high tackle in the Quins’ 22.

Tom Lewis opted for a simple three points and added another three successful penalties before the interval to give his side a 26-3 interval lead.

It was a similar situation after the break as Tenby had quality ball and claimed further scores from Lewis, and lock Luke Deadman. Lewis added both conversions and the Seasiders were worthy winners of this local derby clash.
