College open evening for all good sports

Calling all talented young sports players of rugby, football, netball and golf — Pembrokeshire College is holding a sports academy open evening this Friday, March 19th at 6pm.

The academy offers opportunities and training for 16-19 years olds alongside their studies, while attending Pembrokeshire College.

Opportunities include the chance to compete at a high level — matches outside the county of Pembrokeshire; coaching, physiotherapy support and knowledge of nutrition, physiology and training.

"We aim to provide a school of excellence which will allow students to compete with the best throughout Wales and the south west," said Kevin Hopkins, Sports Academies' coaching co-ordinator.
