One of Pembrokeshire’s most talented rugby players has been capped by the British Police.
Steve Williams, currently playing fly-half for Haverfordwest, recently represented the police in their defeat against the British Army at Aldershot.
It was Steve’s 12th game for the team, which qualified him to be capped.
“I’ve had some good times playing for them,” said Steve.
His first game came against the French police in 2004, while he was playing for Pontyberem RFC.
“I’ve toured South Africa with them and had the chance to play against some very good sides.
“When I first started playing for them, the team was mostly made up of division one players from England and the standard has always been high.”
Steve had been selected for the British Police tour of Canada later this year but unfortunately he has had to pull out because of family and work commitments.
