Clarbeston Road 3
Goodwick United 5
Goodwick United won a high-scoring affair at Clarbeston Road.
This win sees the visitors remain three points clear at the top, while the home outfit stay in the relegation zone, currently sitting second from bottom.
Bernie Armstrong’s Goodwick troops led 3-1 at half time. However, it was the hosts who took an early lead when Mike Loveridge beat Carl Woodhouse with a well-struck free kick.
The lead was short-lived as Steve Evans equalised, the diminutive striker made no mistake from inside the box. Super sub Ricky Bowen added a second and Danny Williams was in the right place at the right time for the third.
Rhys Dalling struck the bottom corner to pull a goal back for the hosts. Ryan Thomas added a fourth, but Clarbie wouldn’t give in and Rhys Jones added a third to keep them in contention. But Goodwick put the game beyond the home side as Danny Williams buried the fifth into the bottom corner and brought up his side’s 50th goal of the season.
