MERLINS Bridge took full advantage to go ten points clear at the top of the table after easily overcoming Solva at Maesymor.
With Hakin United slipping up at home and only getting a draw with Monkton Swifts, the Wizards piled on the pressure to pick up their 15th win of the season and look hot favourites to win the title with just nine games to go.
Wizards’ Matthew Price was brought down in the box by Joe Elliott in the 44th minute, and the player/manager dusted himself off to score the opener from the spot.
Fifteen minutes after the break Stephen McNabney doubled the lead, the striker finishing neatly with a left foot strike.
Nathan Thomas added the third with a sublime direct free kick before Ben Jones deflected a shot off Nigel Delaney and kept Solva in it.
However, substitute Mickey Williams latched onto a McNabney cross to put the Wizards in the driving seat.
