Tri out an event

PEMBROKESHIRE Triathlon Club have announced a host of events to take place in 2012.

The first is the ever popular duathlon event in Neyland. The race takes place on April 1st with athletes of all ages and abilities invited to do the 5k run, followed by a 22km cycle, and followed by a 2.5km run.

For athletes unsure if they can complete the whole event, there is an option to take part in a relay team made up of two or three people. Fancy dress is encouraged with a prize given to the best outfit.

All the profits from the race are being donated to the HOPE MS Therapy Centre – a local charity in Neyland which works to improve the lives of people with multiple sclerosis.

The main sponsor is RWE nPower. Additional support is being provided by TriExercise, A&A Scaffolding, Speedy Hire and Station Self Drive.

The race is one of four events being held by the club.

The others include a triathlon for members only which takes place on April 29th, Triexercise Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon on July 7th, and Pembrokeshire Half Marathon on September 30th.
