BOTH side’s were happy with a point come the final whistle but neither could hit the back of the net in a stalemate at Phoenix Park.
The visitors possibly shaded it over 90 minutes, but Jordan Richards, Daryl Mansbridge and Gareth Warlow all failed to score past in-form Goodwick goalkeeper Carl Woodhouse.
Anthony Couzens and Wayne O’Sullivan were outstanding at the heart of the Goodwick defence and they stopped Tenby from getting a proper grip on the game.
The closest that the hosts came to scoring was when Kieran O’Brien’s wicked long range drive cannoned off stand-in goalkeeper Dean Rossiter’s crossbar. Rob Morgans also squandered a gilt-edged opportunity, the youngster blazing his shot over the crossbar.
Goodwick boss Bernie Armstrong said: “I’m happy with a point, because we didn’t deserve to win it.”
Tenby’s Dene Hurlow said afterwards: “We had enough chances to win it, but on the overall balance of play a draw was the right result.”
