Solva 0-7 Hakin United

First published in Sport

Reigning champions Hakin United smashed seven goals past hapless Solva at Maesymor.

The Vikings still have an outside chance of retaining the title, as long as Gary Dawes’ team win all their remaining matches, and if the Wizards slip up in their last game, then they could nick it.

Leigh Broome and James Stanmore both scored to give the Vikings a two-goal cushion at the break.

The Vikings scored five further goals without reply in the second period to stroll to their 16th win of the season. Michael Cooper, Ashley Bevan, Phil Cockburn, Steve Mathias and Justin Harding all found a way past keeper Chris Davies.

Solva: Chris Davies, Gary Reynolds, Luke Phillips, Medi George, Matthew Elliott, Luke Jones, William Chant, Gareth Thomas, James Griffin, Matthew Bennett, Harry Elliott.

Hakin United: Stephen Hartley, Lee Broome, Ewan Findlay, Kristan Bennett, Kieran Rendall, Ashley Bevan, Matthew Broome, Michael Cooper, Steve Mathias, James Stanmore, Justin Harding. Subs: Scott Davies, Phil Cockburn, Paul Jones.

Referee: Sean O’Connor.
