Haverfordwest (113 all out) lost to Saundersfoot (164 all out)
Saundersfoot showed why they are currently top of the table as they produced an excellent all-round performance to crush second-placed Haverfordwest.
Saundersfoot showed their will to win after Tom Richards (28) and Simon Wood (24), both with three boundaries, had got the innings off to steady start before Dai Davies rapped four fours in his 32 against his former team-mates. Phil Jones (23) and skipper James Caine (two huge sixes in his 21 not out) increased the run rate at a key time and the only black spot on a good batting display was that the Seasiders lost three late wickets to run outs that gifted The Town maximum bowling bonus points as Adam James (1 for 31), Clive Tucker (1 for 25), Simon Holliday (2 for 24), Chris Phillips (1 for 20) and Nigel Morgan (2 for 28) were the home team’s wicket-takers.
Haverfordwest needed a good start but lost Simon Holliday and Ben Field early on, and never looked in the hunt thereafter as only Jonathan Strawbridge and Karl Rhead (both with 29) looked anything like settled against Simon Wood (3 for 27), Nick Cope (2 for 33), Tom Richards (3 for 18) and Danny Caine (1 for 28).
Umpires: Richard Merriman and Dai Morris.
Scorers: Jayne Cole and Hazel Poole.
