Lawrenny (96 all out) lost to Haverfordwest (255 for 2)

Simon ‘Doc’ Holliday found his batting form for the first time this season as the Haverfordwest skipper slammed a huge 154 not out that seemed to demoralise the Lawrenny players, who mustered just 96 all out after tea.

Haverfordwest started well with a score of 81 for 0 in 20 overs before Danny Potter was out for 29. Ben Field also batted well for his 29 but it was Simon Holliday who launched an attack of great ferocity on the Lawrenny bowlers to such an extent that sailed past three figures and ended up with ten fours and nine very big sixes in his 155 not out, his first innings of substance so far this campaign.

Jonathan Strawbridge gave ideal support with 32 not out as the Lawrenny bowlers were made to toil hard with Ian Jenkins (1 for 45) and Simon Cole (1 for 47) as their only wicket-takers.

Only Ian Jenkins (23) ever looked comfortable against The Town’s James Morris (3 for 38) and Nigel Morgan (3 for 9), with Clive Tucker picking up 1 for 1 in seven miserly overs as Haverfordwest won by 159 runs.
