Cresselly (Did not bat) v Haverfordwest (224 for 6) – Match abandoned
Haverfordwest found it comfortable to score runs at Cresselly as they raced to 224 for 6 at tea but Cresselly were prevented from giving chase by the heavy rain which swept in.
Ben Field oozed class in his knock of 63 before he was caught by Simon Cole off Ryan Lewis having stroked eight fours and two sixes. He found excellent support from Jonathan Strawbridge (51, including four fours and a six) and Karl Rhead, whose 51 not out took only 34 balls and contained four fours and three sixes.
Lewis (2 for 53) and fellow veteran Lyn Richards (3 for 51) were the principal wicket-takers for Cresselly but their batsmen were prevented from trying to reach such a formidable score by the weather.
Cresselly’s match ball was sponsored by Steve Wilkins and family.
Umpires: Alan Hansen and Tony Scourfield.
Scorers: Dave Richards and Jayne Cole.
