Pembrokeshire gymnasts have once again had strong representation at the 2012 Welsh and British Schools Championships. Britney Campbell-Lawrence and Dorian Pawlett of Sir Thomas Picton School and Leon Whalley of Fenton School qualified to represent Wales at the British Finals held in Fenton Manor in Stoke-on-Trent. At the Welsh Schools Tumble and Vault Championships, Britney competing in the under-13 age group repeated her success of previous two years by winning the event, while Leon performed exceptionally well to win the boys' under-11 competition. Dorian tumbled very powerfully and accurately and as a result was invited to take part in the under-19 boys' event.

The gymnasts travelled to Stoke in great expectation and performed very well.

Leon, competing against gymnasts from all over Great Britain, was 6th. Dorian helped the under-19 team win the tumbling event with his 5th. Britney, making her fourth appearance at the finals, was placed 2nd in a very competitive under-13 girls' event. This was her fourth medal at the event, not having finished out of the top two over four years of competition.
