First win for Hundleton
1:00pm Thursday 13th September 2012 in Sport
Haverfordwest County 2
Hundleton 4
Hundleton picked up their first win of the season over Haverfordwest County at a sun-drenched Bridge Meadow.
The visitors took a twogoal cushion with only 17 minutes on the clock. Simon Shanahan capitalised on a defensive blunder to slot home past stranded Bluebirds goalkeeper Dan James. Nicky Grange added a second goal a few minutes later after a well-worked move left the front man with a simple tap-in from eight yards.
However, the Bluebirds got back in the match when Hundleton defender Sean Donohue volleyed a Matthew Ellis free kick into his own net. On the stroke of half time and the Bluebirds equalised when they were awarded a controversial penalty when Greg Walters tumbled in the box without any contact. Ben Steele duly placed the ball beyond the reach of Dan Roberts.
The visitors bagged two further goals in the second half to secure the points.
Craig Asperassa scored on 70 minutes and ten minutes later Geraint Lewis added a fourth to put the game to bed.
