Three youngsters from Pembrokeshire are showing great promise following the Welsh Counties Championships.

Jo Mansell, John Stowell, and Aaron Hoskins took to the platform and all performed admirably.

Current Welsh champion Jo won the single lifts title, again breaking the Welsh record with a strong pull of 120 kilograms (kg) in his category.

John, in his first big event, showed potential as he pulled 195kg in his category.

Aaron competed in the full powerlifting event, winning his category and beating the current Welsh champion by a convincing 35kg margin.

He achieved a squat of 235kg, a bench press of 160kg, and a deadlift of 245kg.

Jo mansell will also be competing at the UK Championships, and if successful, could be selected to compete for Great Britain at the World Championships in November.
