Smokin’ Joe claims hat-trick for Tigers

St Ishmaels 0

Johnston 4

Joe John claimed a superb second half hat-trick in four minutes to earn Johnston a comfortable victory at St Ishmaels.

Robbie Thomas’ Tish outfit came into this clash on the back of two wins on the trot, but the Tigers clawed their way back from last week’s disappointing defeat at Narberth to clinch their fourth win of the season.

All the goals were scored in the second-half. Chris Ormond broke the deadlock on 50 minutes when he firmly planted a header at a corner past keeper Jonathan Pawlett.

Then the Joe John show began with the striker amazingly grabbing a hattrick in just four minutes.

On the hour mark he added the Tigers’ second goal with an easy tap-in. The hot-shot striker bagged two further goals with quality strikes on 62 and 64 minutes. The third drilled in the far corner from distance and the fourth goal stemmed from similar distance that didn’t give Pawlett a chance of stopping.
