Pembrokeshire's biggest local derby went with the form-book as Narberth won this fierce battle against old rivals Whitland.
The Otters led 7-3 after a tight first half and never relinquished their advantage thereafter.
Both teams missed early kicking chances before Scott Newton fired over a threepointer to put The Borderers ahead. But the visitors took control when they were awarded a scrum five metres out. When the Whitland pack collapsed their retreating scrum a penalty try was awarded and Rhys Roberts added the simple extra points.
Whitland were reduced to 14 men at the start of the second half when Mike Georgiou, playing against his former team-mates, was yellow-carded and Roberts slotted a Narberth penalty.
Otters captain Steve Martin then rounded off several phases of play when he cut through to score a try that Roberts again converted.
The outside half then sealed the game with an opportunist try.
Richards seemed set to go for goal when his side were awarded a penalty. But after The Borderers were made to retreat ten yards for ill discipline, he took the second penalty quickly and ghosted under the posts for a try he then converted.
Home winger Tomi Jones grabbed a consolation try for The Borderers as he beat opposite number Tom Bonnell to score in the corner but it proved too little, too late, as Narberth held out for the derby win.
