Hook, line and sinker

Seventy-four anglers took part in the annual Osprey Sea Angling Club competition held at Amroth beach.

The winner was Sally Owen, a woman shore international angler from Cardiff.

Second was Welsh international Chris Stephens, from Bridgend, who caught the heaviest fish of the day, a 1kg lesser spotted dogfish. Third was Chris’ father Jeff. Top junior was Alex Blunsden.

The pairs competition was won by Chris and Jess Stephens and second another father and son combination of Kevin and Garwyn Shortman. Finally, the club would like to thank Roger Harries, of the Amroth Arms, for accommodating the anglers and also to sponsors who donated raffle prizes.
