THE annual Sport Pembrokeshire Awards, backed by the Western Telegraph, celebrate and recognise sporting achievements across the county.

There are 12 categories for sportspeople of all ages, as well as coaches, organisers, teachers and volunteers. Nominees from previous years are also welcome to be nominated again.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, November 2nd. All nominees and their guests will be invited to the annual Sport Pembroke-shire Awards ceremony on Friday, November 30th at Folly Farm, Begelly.

The awards are sponsored by Sport Pembrokeshire, Folly Farm, Valero, Radio Pembrokeshire, and the Western Telegraph.

“The awards are a chance to celebrate the success of Pembrokeshire’s best sportspeople and appreciate all the hard work of all the volunteers,” said Cllr Elwyn Morse, cabinet member for culture, sport and leisure.

“If you know someone who has excelled in sport over the last year, or who has volunteered to coach or organise grass roots sport, then why not nominate them for an award?”

He added: “This year has been tremendously exciting for sport in Britain, and we hope these awards will build on that enthusiasm and encourage even more people in Pembrokeshire to enjoy sport.”
