Carew (94 for 3) beat Narberth (93 all out) CAREW finally got on the winning trail for the first time this season as they limited Narberth to 93 all out and then won by seven wickets after a few early batting scares.

Narberth found it hard going from the outset as they lost ace run-gatherer Marc Hughes for a duck and only veteran all-rounder Ollie Cook (31), Ben Quartermaine (15) and Ben Hughes (14) managed double figures against Rhys Davies (4 for 38), Tom Davies (3 for 14), James Hinchliffe (1 for 25) and Sean Whitfield ( 2 for 6).

Ollie Cook (2 for 5 in six overs) and Ben Quartermaine (1 for 21) helped reduce Carew to a nervy 28 for 3 as Rhys Davies, Nick Scourfield and Ian Sefton departed cheaply but then an unbroken stand of 66 between Tim Hicks (six fours and two sixes in his 46) and Brian Hall (18 not out), saw Carew comfortably home.

Umpires: Dave Brandon and John Williams.

Scorers: Gwyneth Johns (Narberth).
