A DISUSED pub could be bulldozed to make room for new homes.
The Peacock, in Clacton Road, Horsley Cross, closed several years ago.
Developers already have permission to convert then building into a house but now want the go-ahead to tear it down and build three homes in its place.
A similar bid to build four houses on the site was turned down four years ago.
The developers say converting the existing building, which dates from the early part of the last century, is "unrealistic" economically.
The plans will go before Tendring Council.
