Italian pair Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci continued their domination of women's doubles by claiming the Australian Open crown.

The top seeds edged out Australian wildcards Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua 6-2 3-6 6-2 in one hour and 42 minutes.

Errani and Vinci have now won three of the last four majors - the French Open, the US Open and here in Melbourne.
