Pennar Robins II 1

Milford Athletic 6

Milford Athletic Athletic eased through to the semi finals of the second division cup with a convincing display over a battling Pennar Robins II side.

Stuart MacDonald’s men took the lead when Jamie Bird poked home 20 minutes in.

On 40 minutes the home side levelled when Ben Jones tapped in. But straight from the kick off Hayden Diamond set up MacDonald who restored the lead.

Gary Power slotted in a third after the break before sealing the game from the penalty spot. Diamond was upended in the box and Power made no mistake with a confident strike.

The away side’s fifth goal came on 75 minutes when Jake Barrett stroked home on his first team debut.

Power rubbed salt into the wounds late on when he completed his hat-trick late on, again scoring from the penalty spot after Shane Walsh was fouled.
