HAVEN Angling Group held a roving competition at the weekend, which was very well attended.
With strong north west winds making it uncomfortable. The anglers where fishing for the Stephen Brown Memorial Cup. It was decided that the winner of the cup would be the angler who caught the heaviest pouting. Winning his match overall and showing the seniors how it should be done, was young Olly Kucyj - with a mixed bag weighing in at over 6kgs, including a nice thornback ray and a double figure bullhuss.
Second with the heaviest fish was local butcher, Dave Ethrington, and third, was Matt Roberts. Top lady was Sandra Thompson.
The match planned for Pendine this weekend has been replaced with a roving competition.
