MERLINS Bridge was not at their best, but they still scored two goals in the second half to secure their fifth league win of the season.
The Wizards huffed and puffed in the opening 45 minutes with the Swifts defending resiliently.
The visitors broke the deadlock in the 60th minute. Nathan Thomas’ excellent through ball set-up Wizards’ skipper Stephen McNabney, the striker lashing the ball into the roof of the net from inside the box.
The visitors had to wait until the 80th minute before they added a second goal to finally put this clash to bed. McNabney assisted with a cheeky back heel that teed-up player manager Lee Hudgell with an easy side footed finish.
