HAKIN United have gone six points clear at the top of the table after gaining victory at Neyland.

The champions were without the influential services of James Stanmore, Nathan Banner, Gareth Fawcett and Adam Davies, but still proved too strong for the Nomads.

The visitors opened their goal scoring account in the tenth minute; Justin Harding played a one-two with Jonty Bennett, and the striker drilled home from 12-yards.

Five minutes later and Ashley Bevan lashed home from 30 yards for a superb second. Bevan added a third five minutes before half time, the midfielder sprung the offside trap and coolly finished from 15 yards.

On the stroke of half time and Henry Durrant pulled a goal back for Neyland. The Nomads were awarded a penalty in the 70th minute when Gary Power was up ended in the box, Durrant drilled home from 12 yards.

The Vikings were reduced to ten-men when Matthew Broome was given an early shower for picking up a second yellow card.

Ten minutes from full time and the Vikings wrapped up the points with Justin Harding adding a fourth created by Steve Mathias.
