Hakin United 4

Neyland 1

JUSTIN Harding scored twice to help champions Hakin United to a comfortable victory against Neyland at the Obs.

Gary Dawes’ Vikings are four points clear at the top of the table, and in this kind of form they are already odds-on favourites to retain the title.

Harding eased the hosts’ nerves as the striker buried a right footed shot from the edge of area past Nomads’ keeper Patrick Hannon.

Ashley Bevan lashed home a second with a shot from distance as the hosts led 2-0 at half time.

Gareth Fawcett was on target with the third after the break, before Nathan Warlow scored the visitors’ only goal of the game.

The Nomads lost Leigh Power with a suspected broken nose following a collision, before deadly Harding added the fourth goal to earn the Vikings their tenth win of the season.

Next Saturday, Hakin United travel to bottom of the table West Dragons, on paper, this should be a routine win and three comfortable points.
