HELLO there, how’s everyone?

I hope you’re all in better spirits than I am, feeling a little disappointed after a tough, windy, and very wet weekend in Glasgow.

We flew up on Thursday from Bristol and the boys were in good spirits - until we got on the plane, into the air, and hit some crazy winds. It was like a simulator but real!

We eventually arrived in Glasgow to be greeted by heavy wind and rain so we knew we had a tough task ahead of us the next day.

We went into the game with a few injuries to our pack with Rhodri Jones, Samson Lee, Emyr Phillips and Kirby Myhill all injured against the Ospreys in the weeks previous.

Due to the terrible weather we were expecting lots of scrums so had to be smart in those areas. We started slowly but got better in that area as the game went on.

It was a scrappy first half and to add to it all we had more injuries with our hooker and second row being replaced, but went into the break 7-5 up. When we came back out for the second half they made a few changes and surprise, surprise we had more injuries before losing 22-7!

It was a tough trip home and the weather wasn’t much better when we arrived back in Wales.

On a positive note, feeding my pigs on Sunday after a few days not seeing them for a few days brought some joy. They’re getting bigger by the day and their bellies are growing, my uncle Tim must have been fed them well while I was away!

This week is massive as we play Leicester Tigers on Friday at Welford Road. It will be a challenge but one I’m looking forward to. Hopefully it will be a big Scarlets win.

Take care on these roads and I’ll catch you next week.

Rob
