Seniors

THE seniors were back on the course last Thursday playing their first competition for three weeks because of the weather. After the heavy overnight frost which quickly thawed to turn into a dry sunny day for most of the round but with no buggies allowed only 23 walkers played with the course still wet but with the greens once again in excellent condition.

The winner was Russell James still continuing his run of good form with Billy Hier in runners up spot and the new seniors captain Brian Mitchell in third place; for Brian who took over the captaincy of the senior section in December this was his first official competition as all the other arranged competitions had been cancelled because of the very heavy rain over the last month.
