THE final of the 2014 Rosemarket Golf Club singles knockout competition was played on Saturday. The delay was due to a sports injury. Congratulations to Kevin Holmes on winning 3 and 2 against Paul Smith.
The seniors played a 14 hole stableford roll up last Tuesday, winning with 31pts was Denis Evans, runner up Dave Warneford with 29pts, third beating Roger Scrimshaw, Colin Rogers and Dan Scale on count back with 28pts was Gordon Manwaring. Twos winner on hole 7 was Nigel Taylor.
Members played in four clubs and a putter competition on Saturday, winning with 37pts was Adam Reynolds losing a shot for his excellent round. Runner up was Jock Wilson 31pts; third beating Barrie Yelland on count back with 30pts was Bryn Lewis, fifth Richard Dodds beating Alan Bowsher on count back with 29pts. Twos winners were hole 7 and 16 Ali McCormack, hole 13 Richard Dodds.
Winners of the South African pairs played on Sunday were the in-form Adam Reynolds and Mark McCormack. Best individual score was Kevin Holmes 37pts.
