HOLLIE Jenkins attended a full day Master class at Carmarthen Golf Club with Amy Boulden.

Boulden is European Tour 2014 Rookie of the Year, and finished 18th in the European Order of Merit, as well as being the Golf Development Wales Girls Ambassador.

Hollie practiced shots with Amy and the other professionals, and then listened as Amy talked through her routines and experiences. It was a great day and will no doubt prove to be an inspiration to girls in South Wales.

Juniors

THERE was a good turnout in difficult conditions. Jack Jenkins battled well to come third, and a nice return to form for Ben Fairbairn saw him a clear second and a two shot reduction in his handicap - a great response to having a shot back the week before. The winner again though with a superb nett 62 was Josh Hutchings, whose handicap was given an extra adjustment by the computer leaving Josh playing off 24 - pretty good seeing as he was off 36 only a fortnight ago.

ON Saturday, the stableford attracted another good turnout, and some new faces in the prizes with Cameron Thomas coming tied third with Jack Jenkins. Abe Forsyth - a model of consistency - scored 40 points to come second and reduce his handicap to eight, but the event was won by Ben Fairbairn with an excellent 41 points, bringing his handicap down to 19.

Both these competitions had special first prizes supplied by MHGC Pro Matthew Hearne. The winners received a pair of tickets each for Swansea City v Man City Premier League match.
