SENIOR CUP: The first round game between Clarbie Road and prendergast was overshadowed.
THERE was a dreadful scene at the Clarbeston Road versus Prendergast Villa Senior Cup second round tie that Clarbie comfortably won 5-1 on Saturday.
Prendergast Villa player Mickey Williams was sent off by referee Sean O’Connor, and the Villa player, clearly unhappy with the official's decision, then allegedly pushed O’Connor forcefully to the ground.
Telegraph Sport understands that thankfully O’Connor was not hurt as a result of this controversial incident, but has submitted his report to the West Wales Football Association and the Prendergast Villa player is surely looking at an extremely lengthy ban.
Goals from Jason Griffiths (3), Steven Dockerty and Ben John gave Clarbie the win, while Jake Davies replied for the Villa.
