BROTHER and sister from Saundersfoot will be competing together next season to try and bring home the UK Powerboat One title.

Daisy and Sam Coleman are gearing themselves up for a trip to the USA this week; unfortunately Sam won’t get his international race licence and won't be able to race with his sister as it’s too late in the season.

So Daisy will be partnered in the USA by the highly experienced and respected fleet driver Mr. John Wilson, the pair are no strangers to power boat racing, finishing positions over the last three years in the UK Powerboat Series, with two thirds and a creditable second this season.

John will retire after the racing with Daisy in the USA, and will then hand over the reins to Sam to partner his sister for next year’s UK 2016 Powerboat Series, where the pair a busy trying get sponsorship to compete next season.

Team Manager, Sam Coleman from Malin House, Saundersfoot said: "The original plan was my sister and I would to make our debut racing in the USA together, but I could not get an international race licence. But I'm delighted John and Daisy will be racing together for one last stand before John's retirement where he'll be taking up the role of team mentor for the 2016 season."

Daisy added: "I've had aspirations to get out to the States to race since my visit to Tampa last year in support of another Welsh Team, GD Environmental. Having been privileged to race with the most experienced and respected driver in the fleet, Mr. John Wilson for most of my racing career it seemed like great way to bring our three year partnership to an end.”
