SEREN Rowlands-Higgins is delighted that she has been selected for the Women’s British Development Squad in Artistic Gymnastics.

The ten year old who lives near Clarbeston Road and attends St Aidan's Primary School, Wiston.

Seren’s selection was based on her results at the British Level 3 Compulsory and Voluntary finals that were held during March and October 2015.

Training camps will be held in both Birmingham and Lilleshall over the next six months with National coaches from all over Britain attending.

Seren is already a member of the Welsh Elite team, having been a part of the Welsh Squad since she was just 5 years-old and an overall Welsh Champion six times.

She works incredibly hard to attain her goals and already commits herself to training from five or six times a week for over 20 hours in Llanelli, Swansea and Cardiff.

Seren is currently preparing for a training camp in Portugal over half-term with Llanelli Gymnastics Club before her British Level 2 competition to be held in Ipswich.

She has also been selected to train in Barcelona with the Welsh Squad at the end of August. Seren would like to say a massive thanks to everyone who has supported her to get to this position.
