Lamphey 3-5 Tenby

Sam Christopher bagged a hat-trick to help Tenby to a hard fought victory at Lamphey.

Christopher scored the opener inside two minutes, two minutes later and Billy Davies equalised for The Stags; Nico Morrison struck that gave the hosts a 2-1 lead at half time.

Luke Raymond Davies equalised a couple of minutes after the break. On the hour mark Nathan Patterson scored for the Seasiders, Billy Davies equalised with a firm header.

But Christopher had the final say scoring in the 80th and 86th minutes, and securing three precious points for the visitors.

Merlins Bridge 9-2 Monkton Swifts

Steven McNabney scored four and youngster Will Haworth claimed a hat-trick as league leaders Merlins Bridge thrashed Monkton Swifts at The Racecourse.

This was the Wizards’ eighth win of the season from ten outings, and they currently top the table by three points from Tenby in second, and third is Hakin United, the latter have three games in hand.

The hosts led 5-0 at half time, McNabney the opener and third, with Jordan Raymond scoring the second, Haworth the fourth and Joe Leahy on target with the fifth.

Haworth added the sixth and seventh to complete his treble, Jimmy Russell pulled one back for the Swifts, McNabney was on target with the eighth, Ben Adams added the visitors’ second before McNabney wrapped up proceeding by adding his side’s ninth.

Milford United 0-2 Goodwick United

Champions Goodwick United grabbed a goal in each half to overcome Milford United at Marble Hall.

Midway through the first period and Scott Delaney opened the scoring with a powerful header, the Robins battled for everything and in the second period the visitors secured victory when Adam Raymond struck an edge of the area shot that beat Robins’ keeper Lewis Roberts.

Narberth 1-4 Angle

Darren Mason scored twice to secure an excellent win for Angle at Narberth.

The Bluebirds opened the scoring on the 20 minute mark, Rob Shipton slotted home from six yards. Mason equalised 15 minutes later, headed home Chris Richards’ free kick.

The visitors took the lead five minutes before the break, good work by Jake Seaton and Tom Grimwood set-up Josh Clark for a close range finish.

Mason added his second in the 65th minute, the striker struck from ten yards and Connor Willis added the fourth to secure the points.

West Wales Intermediate Cup – Round 3

West End Rangers 1-3 West Dragons

WEST Dragons gained a fantastic result at West End Rangers to progress in the West Wales Intermediate Cup.

The Swansea League Division One outfit are currently second in the table, so for The Dragons to go there and win is no mean achievement.

The Rangers keeper gifted the visitors the lead in the tenth minute, passing the ball straight to player boss Matthew Price who made no mistake. The visitors levelled matters midway through the first period as the score stood 1-1 at half time.

On the hour mark and the visitors regained the lead, Nick Squire headed home a Dorian Davies throw-in into the top corner.

In the 75th minute and Price bagged his second goal of the tie, latching onto Blain’s long punt and he volleyed from the edge of the area into the bottom corner.

Neyland 3-1 AFC Pontardawe

Neyland have deservedly reached the last sixteen of the West Wales Intermediate Cup after despatching of Neath Premier outfit AFC Pontardawe.

The Nomads led 2-0 at half time and added a third goal before the visitors pulled one back with the last kick of the cup tie.

Andrew Davies drilled in from ten yards for the Nomads’ first goal on the 25 minute mark, Justin Harding added a second in the 30th minute, the striker tapped-in a Mike Chandler cross.

On the hour mark and The Nomads added a third goal, young striker Geraint Rees striking a sweet left foot shot from the edge of the box, the visitors bagged a late consolation effort.

Hakin United bowed out of the West Wales Intermediate Cup after they drew 2-2 at home with Loughor Rovers after normal and extra time, Dan Evans bagged both the Vikings’ goals, and defender Jonty Bennett was sent off for deliberately destroying a goal scoring opportunity, the visitors went on to win the tie 6-5 on penalties and secured a place in the last sixteen.

There was a Senior Cup tie played at Bush Camp on Saturday, where Pennar Robins won 7-4 against Pendine. Pennar Robins will play Merlins Bridge at home this Saturday, in second round of the competition, the kick-off is at 2pm.
