Following on from the success of the Pembrokeshire leg of the Tour de Shane - Man-Up UK are teaming up again with Rugby legend Shane Williams to raise funds for an important cause.

Except this time, it will be in the own back yard of Wales' record try scorer for the 'Amman Adventure TDS' with 80 and 50 mile routes available.

The event will be a fundraiser for Shaun Davies and his family, and will be suitable for all ages and abilities.

"I've done a lot of cycling around the Amman Valley, Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons and the roads and scenery are top class so it's great that I've got the opportunity to bring a sportive to my home patch," said Williams, outlining the route of the event.

"It will also be a fundraiser and awareness ride for the Cancer Centre, and my continuing work as an ambassador for this great charity as it fights such a cruel disease.

"It is something currently affecting one of my old Amman United RFC team mates, so funds from the ride will also be going to support Shaun and family in these difficult times."

The ride will take place on Sunday, October 15, and will start at 830am from Amman United RFC.

The routes will be a combination of well known and off-track roads, and will take in some great mountain passes and market towns.

Anyone interested can visit www.Man-upuk.com, or call Fintan Godkin on 07855954702.

Following the event, there will be refreshments and entertainment at Amman United RFC.
