Carew 3-3 Merlins Bridge 

JACK Christopher struck a brilliant first half hat-trick for Carew, but come the final whistle his team had to be content with a point against Merlins Bridge who mounted a thrilling fight back.

The striker rolled back the years as he grabbed his treble in a 21 minute purple patch against his ex-Wizards’ team mates.

Christopher opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a towering header - but ten minutes later and Matthew D’Ivry equalised, drilling home from 12 yards out.

On the 32 minute mark and The Rooks regained the lead, Christopher making no mistake with a brilliant 25 yard direct free kick that flew in the top corner.

On the 36 minute mark and thr on-fire Christopher broke clear and dinked the ball over the advancing Gary Thomas to give The Rooks a 3-1 interval lead.

In the second period The Wizards got on top with the introduction of Dai Davies off the bench who worked tirelessly in midfield.

In the 70th minute Ashley Beck pulled a goal back with a powerful header from a corner, and the visitors levelled matters ten minutes from full time, as Luke Hayward slotted in the bottom corner from just inside the box.
