Division One:
Hakin United
Milford United 0

TEENAGER Ben Fawcett capped a brilliant individual performance by claiming a stunning hat-trick to help Hakin United to a crushing six-goal victory over derby rivals Milford United, writes Gordon Thomas.

This was The Vikings’ fifth win of the season, and it was Fawcett who opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a powerful header at The Obs.

Justin Harding doubled the lead when Jack Wilson was fouled inside the box and the reliable striker slotted in the resultant penalty.

After the break, The Robins were put under pressure, but young goalkeeper Jack Nicholas pulled off some stunning saves to deny The Vikings.

Fawcett scored his second header from close range for the third, following good work by Adam John and Jack Wilson.

Goal number four saw Fawcett profit for his hat-trick when the goal opportunity was carved out by Jonty Bennett, Craig Nicholson and John.

Fawcett assisted Jack Wilson for the fifth, the youngster slotting home from eight yards, and Harding got his second of the match for the sixth, following brilliant work by super sub Stuart MacDonald who set-up the striker with a penetrating run from halfway.
