Senior Cup Quarter final:
Neyland 0-2 Hakin United

HAKIN United overcame a spirited Neyland outfit with two late second half goals and secured their semi-final spot against Carew on Wednesday, February 28.

Geraint Rees spurned an early goal scoring opportunity for The Nomads, and for Kristan Bennett’s Vikings Nicky Woodrow went close with a header and Ben Aldred and Justin Harding struck menacing shots wide as both sides failed to break the deadlock.

After a goalless first period the visitors finally opened the scoring in the 75th minute when centre back Daniel Armstrong powered home a header from a corner.

Five minutes later and Adam John’s wicked cross in the box was headed into his own net by Neyland defender Nicky Koomen – and there was no way back for the courageous Nomads.
