So we have almost hit mid-April, and yet the midweek fixture list was hit by postponements.
In terms of the title, with so many games to fit in, I now fear it won't necessarily be the best team that wins the league - but who out of Goodwick, Hakin, and Merlins Bridge copes best with demands of playing three times a week.
On Tuesday, The Wizards appeared to move into the driving seat after the clash between the other two was called off at Phoenix Park. But after easing past Narberth 10-0, it was The Vikings who inflicted a first Division One defeat of the season on Nathan Thomas' team yesterday.
There will be many more twists and turns to come, but on paper it is Wayne O'Sullivan's Goodwick who have the toughest test of the three tomorrow, away to a Carew side who will want to prove themselves after that heavy West Wales Cup defeat.
What may favour Goodwick is that they should be fresher after last night's scheduled game with West Dragons was also called off as the latter failed to raise a side - while Carew drew 2-2 at home to Clarbeston Road.
Bridge and Hakin will be backed to win at home tomorrow against Lamphey and Pennar respectively, but the Wizards will be sweating on the fitness of Joe Leahy, who limped off early on at The Obs.
At the other end of the table, Angle essentially gave up three points when they didn't fulfil their game last weekend, also against Goodwick, and then crucially lost 5-3 at Herbie on Tuesday.
Herbie's last three games are tough, and Andrew Thomas' Angle now need at least three points from their remaining seven to survive.
But the Dragons will be just two points above Herbie themselves when their three points also come off. I have no doubt they were struggling for numbers, but the decision not to play for me seems a bizarre one. Like Angle last Saturday, even if they could not field XI, it would have been better to have taken a heavy defeat rather than a points penalty, especially given they still have to play the fixture another time.
Angle host Clarbie tomorrow, and you would back the visitors providing they are at full strength. The Dragons go to Neyland, and it is hard to justify backing them given their struggle for numbers.
Monkton meanwhile, who would have been stung by that derby defeat to Pennar last week, host Narberth.
The Bluebirds themselves have hit a real rough patch, having lost four games on the bounce, conceding 21 goals in those games and scoring once.
On that basis, you would have to back The Swifts especially with James Russell continuing his scoring form.
