Pembroke County Cricket Club Division One fixtures for Saturday, May 19th (1.30pm):
Burton v Whitland
Burton would have been disappointed to have lost having dismissed Lawrenny for 158 last week after Morgan Scale's haul for 4-47.
But they then fell to 131 all out themselves, and can expect a stern test from a Whitland side that hit form at home to Tish last week.
80 not out from Matthew Davies led them to a big total of 220-6, and then bursts from Ben Harvey (4-27) and Dylan Blain (4-45) ensured they took the majority of the points.
Jonny Thomas should now also return to the XI with the rugby season over, and Iestyn Scourfield will want another positive result from his side to keep in touch with the top three.
Burton meanwhile are only 11 points clear of the drop zone, and won't want to get dragged into any kind of dogfight.
Cresselly v St Ishmaels
Given how tight the title race will be, Cresselly will know they can ill afford many more slip ups after their five wicket defeat to Neyland last Saturday.
They are now 27 points Sean Hannon's men, and must respond tomorrow.
Adam Chandler is again looking solid and he notched a second successive 50 at the Athletic Ground, but no one was able to push on from his platform.
Having said that, given his incredible 112 off 27 balls in the Welsh Cup on Sunday, it is fair to say Tish weill be wary of Ryan Lewis coming in.
Phil Cockburn's men themselves seem to be having their customary slow start, and were clearly second best in last week's draw at Whitland last week.
There were positives however by way of Andrew Palmer's opening spell, and they will need to make early inroads again here.
Haverfordwest v Kilgetty
Although they did not get the outright win, Kilgetty had a confidence boosting draw with Llangwm last week, as Kurtis Marsh (82) and Jack Parkinson (51 not out) both excelled with the bat, and Jack Parkinson took 3-27 with the ball.
They remain in the bottom two just five points from safety, but have a tough task here.
To have any chance they will need to remove Town opener Simon Holliday, who has knocks of 102 not out, 91, 124, and 81 not out to his name so far. He's certainly not relenting with age.
Haverfordwest will start favourites again in this one, and the visitors will need to be at their best.
Llangwm v Lawrenny
A haul of 4-21 from Rob Williams inspired Lawrenny to a win over Burton last Saturday, taking them into the top half of the table.
Just a place below them in sixth are Llangwm, who battled to a high scoring draw at Kilgetty last week. It may not have been the result they wanted, but they at least showed the fight needed when you are newly promoted.
Richard Brock's 41 not out proved vital that in that game, but both sides appear pretty evenly matched heading into tomorrow.
It's chance for both to close the gap between themselves and the top four.
Neyland v Johnston
Neyland have the bit between their teeth at the moment, and last week's five wicket win over Cresselly was a real statement of intent.
Paul Murray was again in destructive mode with 76 not out, and he will be eyeing another big score against a Johnston attack clearly depleted despite the tireless efforts of Kevin Roberts thus far.
To Johnston's credit, they are not capitulating, and 34 not out from Liam James last week took them from 8 for 3 to 125 all out.
But nor are they getting close to winning, and this could be another long day for them here.
