Bynea 33-13 Pembroke

PEMBROKE shared 26 points with Bynea before half time but The Scarlets conceded another 20 unanswered points after the break.

The home team, rock bottom of the table, were able to celebrate a second victory on the trot after 19 successive defeats.

Scarlets’ coach Ossie Boswell was phlegmatic about the fact that Bynea had strengthened their squad since they lost 53-0 at Crickmarren.

Max Hayward and Mark Williams scored the Pembroke’ tries whilst Ross McNally slotted a penalty, and the visitors were more than in the game at the half way mark.

But Bynea had tries by outside half Josh Dunn, Elliott Dawe (2) and Nicholas Morris (2).

Jonathan Cronin also chipped in with four conversions as his side eased home with a bonus point.
