Neyland (170 for 9) drew with Narberth (129 for 9)
A sparkling innings of 75 by opener Paul Murray was undoubtedly the highlight of Neyland’s total of 170 for 9 against Narberth.

The visitors paid for dropping Murray three times as he rapped six big sixes and three fours before he was finally out with the scoreboard showing 96 for 3.

Gregg Miller (31) and Nick Koomen (16) were the other main Neyland run-gatherers in their commanding tally of 170 for 9 against useful bowling from Ben Hughes (2 for 31) and Matthew Johns (3 for 39), supported by Ian Hughes (3 for 53) and Jordan Howell (1 for 23).

Marc Hughes (28) and Kyle Quartermaine (49) looked good in a productive second-wicket stand before Hughes was unluckily run out for 28. Quartermaine blasted three fours and two big sixes en route to 49 before Sean Hannon neatly stumped him off the canny spin bowling of Gary Lloyd.

Sean’s twin brother Patrick also played his part with a 3 for 37 haul alongside Lloyd (3 for 16) and there was a wicket for Koomen, but Narberth stayed positive and their last pair were still at the crease when their 45 overs were up.
