The juniors at Cardigan Golf Club have competed in two competitions from the annual junior programme of events.
At the start of the month the Junior June Medal took place. The results were: Medal tee: 1, Ben Harvey, nett 71; 2, Jac Emanuel, nett 73; 3, Benjamin James, nett 74.
Red Tee: 1, Harry Davies; 2, Iwan Thomas.
The third major junior golf competition of the season, The Captain’s Cup, was played for last weekend. The competition was generously sponsored by Cardigan Golf Club captain Peter Rees.
The conditions on the day were demanding, and all competitors were congratulated by the club captain during the presentation, and some excellent prizes were presented to the winners. The results were as follows: Medal tee: 1, Benjamin James, nett 78, 2, Ben Harvey, nett 85.
Red tee: 1, Harry Davies; 2, Wyn Williams; 3, Iwan Thomas; 4, Sion Rockley.
