A young gun has certainly set his sights on becoming a top shot in the sport of shooting.

Ben Llewellin, of Rudbaxton, has had an impressive season so far shooting Olympic Skeet.

He travelled to Yorkshire on June 9th and 10th to compete in the UK Championships.

There, he shot a personal best of 113 out of 125, which saw him claim ninth place overall.

He was also top Welsh shot and first in C class, which makes him UK Champion of this class.

Ben travelled to Cyprus in February with the Welsh development squad, where there was over 300 entries from most European countries.

He was delighted to pick up a bronze medal in the team event.

He is on target to represent Wales again this year at the Home International in August that takes place near Cardiff.

He gained sponsorship from Zoli an Italian gun maker, which came via Andy Owen, of Haylett Grange.

As a result, he has flown out to Italy to the gun factory to have a gun custom made.
